1. What Trip Verdict is
Trip Verdict is an Android app and website that reads the ride offers shown on your screen and displays an estimate of what the trip leaves after petrol and running costs. It is an independent project and is not made, endorsed or operated by Bolt, Uber or any other platform.
2. An estimate, not a promise
Every figure is an estimate worked out from the numbers on the offer and the costs you enter. We do not promise that you will make a profit. The decision to accept or decline a trip is always yours.
3. Your account and licence
You need an account to use the app. Your licence code is for you and works on up to two of your phones. Please do not share it or sell access to it. You are responsible for keeping your login safe.
4. Passes and payment
Access is sold as prepaid passes for a number of days. Passes are not renewed automatically and we do not take debit orders. Payments are processed by PayFast. Prices are shown on the Pricing page and can change for future purchases but not for a pass you have already paid for. Refunds are covered in the Refund policy.
5. Using the app
You agree to use the app lawfully, to follow the rules of the platforms you drive for, and not to copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app or our servers. The app uses Android's Accessibility feature only to read your screen. It does not tap, accept or decline anything.
6. Availability and changes
The app depends on how other apps display information, and those apps can change without notice. This can stop the app working until we update it. We may change, suspend or stop the service, and will try to give notice and a fair outcome for passes you have paid for.
7. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of income or any indirect loss that comes from using, or not being able to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer law that cannot be limited.
8. Ending access
You can stop using the app at any time. We may end access if you break these terms, for example by sharing a licence or interfering with the service.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
